A fast-growing European SaaS company building real-time digitalization and automation solutions for the manufacturing industry. They are building a founding engineering team in Amman to develop a new product.
The Role
You will be the highest technical authority in the company (no CTO above you), leading a founding team of four. You will own architecture end to end, stay hands-on in the code, and work directly with the CEO and COO.
Responsibilities
- Own architecture across frontend, backend, data, and IoT/hardware integrations
- Write and review code and set engineering standards
- Build and grow the team from 4 to 8–12 engineers
- Drive integrations with ERP, PLM, and supply chain platforms
- Own performance, security, and reliability
Requirements
- 8+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years in a senior technical leadership role
- Strong hands-on experience with React/TypeScript and Python/FastAPI
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Proven experience owning architecture and building a team from scratch
- Able to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
- Fluent English
- Bonus: IoT, RFID, or manufacturing/supply chain experience
