Software Development Engineer - iOS | MAF Future Solutions | Customer Solutions - Jordan
Role Summary
As Software Engineer iOS, you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing this vision to life. As a part of the Engineering team, reporting into the Software Development Team Lead iOS, you will be assigned to a Feature Team as the iOS Developer and will have a clear backlog of features that will need to be developed.
ROLE PROFILE
- iOS Development: Build and maintain high-quality, high-performance iOS applications and integrate them with backend services.
- Code Quality: Write clean, reusable, maintainable code following SOLID principles, design patterns, and development standards.
- UI & Architecture: Translate designs/wireframes into responsive applications while applying appropriate architectures and usability best practices.
- Performance & Reliability: Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, crashes, and performance issues to ensure a stable user experience.
- Collaboration & Agile: Work closely with engineers, developers, QA, and stakeholders while contributing to design reviews and Agile processes.
- Testing & Documentation: Support functional testing and maintain clear, useful documentation for developed features and components.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply development best practices and recommend improvements to processes, automation, code quality, and delivery.
- Success Metrics: Meet deadlines and quality targets while improving delivery velocity, technical problem-solving, code quality, crash rates, ticket completion, and maintainability.
Requirements
- iOS Expertise: Strong knowledge of iOS development, multiple iOS versions, screen sizes, UI principles, Apple Human Interface Guidelines, and touch-based interfaces.
- App Development: Experience with RESTful APIs, offline storage, threading, push notifications, cloud messaging, and the broader iOS/open-source ecosystem.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of algorithms, performance optimization, benchmarking, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Engineering Practices: Proficient with Git, continuous integration, code quality standards, acceptance criteria, and delivering features within schedules.
- Business & Innovation: Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions while driving impact, fostering innovation, and contributing effectively to teams.
- Experience & Education: 3–5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
