Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting is a must.
3-5 years of experience in Accounting, Banking or Finance.

Key Accountabilities:

Oversee and manage all banking and Orange Money activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes, ensuring data integrity and financial accuracy across all transactions.
Reconcile all banking transactions (deposits, payments, interest, transfers, etc.) with precision, adhering strictly to Group policies and procedures.
Issue timely, accurate financial guarantees in compliance with Group standards, and coordinate with relevant departments on extensions or closures of bank guarantees.
Collaborate with other JTG departments to ensure that financial actions are completed accurately, promptly, and with relevant information, facilitating effective control over bank accounts and Orange Money transactions.
Drive digital transformation initiatives by automating bank reconciliations and critical Orange Money transactions through Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or other automation tools.
Support internal and external audits by providing comprehensive documentation, explanations, and ensuring adherence to audit requirements and compliance standards.
Develop, review, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard organizational assets and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver financial insights, support strategic initiatives, and contribute to effective planning, resource allocation, and decision-making.
Utilize the Oracle ERP system to efficiently manage financial data, generate insightful reports, and streamline accounting workflows, thereby enhancing productivity and data accuracy.
Prepare, review, and submit accurate financial reports within established deadlines to internal management, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders.
Identify, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues, implementing corrective actions and continuous process improvements to prevent recurrence.
Contribute to the development and execution of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support organizational growth and financial stability.
Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, assess their impact on financial reporting, and ensure ongoing compliance.
