Accounting Manager / Team Lead to drive our finance operations, strengthen internal controls, and mentor a high-performing accounting team.
Position Overview
As the
Accounting Manager / Team Lead, you will sit at the intersection of operational excellence, financial governance, and leadership. You will own the full accounting cycle, oversee multi-entity financial reporting under IFRS, drive ERP and systems optimization, and partner closely with executive leadership and tech teams. Beyond managing the numbers, you will lead, mentor, and build the capabilities of our finance and accounting talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and specialists, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and high performance.
- Balance workload distribution across month-end closing, reconciliations, integrations, and reporting.
- Set team KPIs, evaluate performance, and drive professional development within the department.
- Financial Governance & Month-End Close
- Own the global closing cycle (month-end, quarter-end, and year-end) ensuring speed, precision, and full compliance with IFRS and local statutory regulations across multiple legal entities.
- Review and approve journal entries, account mappings, complex accruals, provisions, and intercompany settlements.
- Drive consolidation processes for multi-entity and cross-border operational lines.
- Systems, ERP & Automation Strategy
- Act as the finance lead for ERP systems (SAP Business One) and operational platform integrations, ensuring smooth API transaction flows (invoices, payments, GL entries).
- Identify structural gaps in financial workflows and spearhead automation projects to reduce manual work and elevate data integrity.
- Collaborate with IT, product, and operational teams to align financial architecture with business scalability.
- Controls, Audit & Management Reporting
- Maintain a robust internal control environment across all financial touchpoints, ensuring strict adherence to company policies.
- Lead internal and external audit processes, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
- Prepare high-level financial analysis, cash flow management reports, and strategic insights for the Executive Leadership and C-suite.
Key Qualifications
- Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or ACCA) is highly preferred.
- Experience: 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory, team lead, or managerial role.
- Technical Mastery: Strong working knowledge of IFRS, multi-entity consolidation, and complex intercompany accounting.
- ERP Proficiency: Proven hands-on experience with modern ERP systems (SAP Business One preferred) and high-volume tech/API-driven environments.
- Leadership Style: Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and team-building capabilities with a problem-solving mindset.
