Commercial & Financial Analyst in our office in Amman
Responsibilities
- Own recurring commercial and financial reporting - sales targets-vs-delivery, revenue, cost and margin - built on certified semantic models
- Support the automated Finance end-of-quarter process: validate outputs against certified definitions and replace remaining manual files
- Analyze commercial performance across products, regions and client segments; identify trends, risks and opportunities and quantify their impact
- Partner with Sales management to translate targets and incentive logic into clear, certified metrics
- Partner with Finance on cost allocation, margin methodology and the definitions used in Group reporting
- Build clear Power BI reports and analyses for executive, regional and sales-management audiences on the gold model
- Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis and first-draft commentary - while owning the accuracy and business judgement of the final insight
- Maintain rigorous documentation of metric definitions and assumptions, contributing to the Group’s single source of truth
- Respond to ad-hoc commercial and financial questions from leadership with fast, well-founded analysis
Skills & Competencies
- Strong commercial and financial acumen: comfortable with P&L structure, revenue drivers, unit economics and margin analysis
- Analytical rigour with large datasets and complex business logic
- Clear written and verbal communication; able to turn analysis into a narrative for senior audiences
- Strong stakeholder skills across Sales, Finance and executive teams
- High attention to detail and ownership of number accuracy
- Effective, critical use of AI assistants for analysis and drafting
Experience Requirements
- 4+ years of commercial experience in BI development or analytics, with substantial hands-on Power BI delivery
- Data modelling experience with Tabular models; advanced DAX in production reports
- Strong MS SQL Server / T-SQL experience; SSIS or modern pipeline tooling (e.g. Azure Data Factory / Fabric pipelines) is a plus
- Experience migrating or consolidating legacy reporting estates is a strong advantage
- Performance troubleshooting and tuning of Power BI models and reports
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Power BI deployment pipelines, or streaming datasets is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field, or compensating experience
