Position Title: Business Process Engineering Lead
Position Objective:
Own the organisation's end-to-end business process management practice. Lead the optimisation and re-engineering of processes to remove inefficiencies and introduce automation and digitisation. Set process standards, drive delivery across digital transformation initiatives, and apply hands-on expertise in process design, modelling, and implementation. The role also leads and reviews the work of the Business Process Engineer reporting into it.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Lead discovery sessions with senior stakeholders and department heads to map current operations, pain points, and strategic objectives and lead 4 Process Specialists.
- Review and approve AS-IS documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to modelling standards.
- Define enterprise-level TO-BE process architecture using re-engineering, Lean, and continuous improvement, with a clear focus on eliminating waste and simplifying workflows.
- Set process modelling standards, BPMN 2.0 guidelines, and quality benchmarks for the team.
- Lead process design and redesign in Bizagi, handling complex, cross-functional, multi-system architectures.
- Own gap analysis outputs, ensuring findings are actionable and aligned with business goals.
- Identify and lead automation, RPA, and intelligent orchestration opportunities, and build the business case for where digitisation delivers most value.
- Drive the digitisation of manual and paper-based processes, defining digital workflows that reduce manual intervention.
- Oversee implementation, including go-live coordination, stakeholder alignment, and post-implementation review.
- Define integration requirements between process designs and enterprise systems, in close collaboration with IT.
- Establish governance frameworks, process ownership structures, and RACI models across the organisation.
- Define and monitor program-level KPIs, SLAs, and OLAs, and track benefits realisation.
- Build and maintain a reusable library of process assets, templates, and standards to drive consistency and speed.
- Guide, mentor, and review the work of the Business Process Engineer.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Information Systems.
- 8 to 10 years in business process engineering or BPM, with at least 3 to 4 years in a lead or senior capacity.
- Authoritative, hands-on experience across the full BPM lifecycle: AS-IS discovery, TO-BE design, modelling, validation, implementation, and integration.
- Proficiency in BPMN 2.0 and hands-on delivery in Bizagi (Studio / Automation, not modelling alone).
- Experience with RPA, workflow automation, and intelligent automation, including building the business case.
- Native Arabic speaker.
Preferred:
- CBPP or CBPL certification, and OCEB 2 (BPMN 2.0) or equivalent.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (Green Belt minimum).
- 2 to 3 years in telecom rollout, with understanding of fibre or fixed-network environments a distinct advantage.
