National UNV Assignment - Jordan
Context
UNICEF is the world’s leading organization dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights and well-being of children. Operating in Jordan since 1952, UNICEF supports children and families through programmes focused on education, health, nutrition, child protection, social protection, WASH, and adolescent development. Following the Syrian crisis, UNICEF significantly expanded its operations to address the needs of refugee children and vulnerable host communities, adopting a vulnerability-based approach that prioritizes support for the most at-risk children regardless of nationality. This assignment is based within the Partnerships Section of UNICEF Jordan, which plays a critical role in resource mobilization, donor relations, partnership management, and strategic reporting. The position contributes to strengthening donor engagement and ensuring high-quality, results-based reporting in an increasingly resource-constrained humanitarian and development context.
Description of duties
- Provide reporting, coordination, and partnership support across UNICEF Jordan’s Country Programme.
- Contribute to the preparation of high-quality donor reports and ensure compliance with donor requirements and reporting standards.
- Support the planning and organization of donor meetings, briefings, and partnership-related engagements.
- Assist in drafting donor updates, briefing notes, and communication materials highlighting programme achievements and impact.
- Maintain reporting schedules and track submission deadlines to ensure timely delivery of donor reports.
- Coordinate with programme sections to gather, consolidate, and verify information for results-based reporting.
- Support effective communication of programme results, achievements, and lessons learned to partners and donors.
Profile requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in international relations, political science, communications, international development, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in reporting, programme support, monitoring and evaluation, communications, or related areas.
- Experience in donor reporting, programme documentation, or partnership management is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with excellent drafting and editing abilities.
- Proven ability to analyse, organize, and synthesize information from multiple stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Commitment to UNICEF’s values, child rights, equity, and development outcomes.
- Fluency in English is required.
