Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Procurement Officer to join our Procurement
team within the retail sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing
procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective
sourcing of products and services. This role plays a vital part in supporting inventory availability,
optimizing procurement processes, and driving operational efficiency across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of
- products and services.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers to secure the best pricing,
- quality, and delivery terms.
- Manage the procurement of consumer electronics, home appliances, accessories, and
- operational supplies.
- Prepare purchase orders, monitor order status, and ensure on-time delivery of goods.
- Coordinate with Sales, Inventory, Warehouse, and Finance departments to maintain optimal
- stock levels.
- Monitor inventory trends and demand forecasts to prevent stock shortages or excess inventory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while evaluating their performance
- regularly.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, contracts, and approval procedures.
- Analyze purchasing data, supplier performance, and market trends to identify cost-saving
- opportunities.
- Resolve supplier issues related to quality, pricing, delivery, and warranty claims.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation.
- Support new product launches by coordinating product sourcing and supplier readiness.
- Participate in annual budgeting and procurement planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with import regulations, customs requirements, and applicable legal
- standards for purchased goods.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, efficiency, and cost
- optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics,
- Procurement, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in procurement, with mandatory previous experience in the retail
- industry.
- Experience managing local and international suppliers and negotiating supplier contracts.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and strategic sourcing.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and cost optimization skills.
- Ability to manage multiple procurement activities and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- Jordanian candidates are preferred.
