Nuba Logistics Services Co is a well-established logistics and supply chain organization committed to operational excellence, reliability, and customer satisfaction. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking to recruit a highly organized and performance-driven Operations Officer to join our Operations Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating day-to-day logistics activities, ensuring efficient execution of shipments, compliance with regulations, and alignment with company operational standards.
Position Summary
The Operations Officer will support the planning, execution, and monitoring of logistics operations, including transportation coordination, documentation control, customer communication, and performance reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple operational processes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Coordination
- Manage daily operational activities related to freight forwarding, transportation, and distribution.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments (air, sea, and land freight).
- Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, customs brokers, and warehouse teams.
- Ensure proper scheduling and dispatching of shipments to meet agreed service levels.
2. Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare, verify, and maintain shipping documentation (Bill of Lading, Airway Bill, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international trade laws.
- Maintain accurate records in the company’s ERP/operations system.
- Monitor adherence to internal SOPs and operational procedures.
3. Client & Vendor Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
- Provide shipment updates and proactively address client inquiries.
- Resolve operational issues and escalate when necessary.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
4. Monitoring & Reporting
- Track operational KPIs (on-time delivery, cost control, documentation accuracy).
- Prepare weekly and monthly operational performance reports.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
5. Financial & Cost Control Support
- Verify operational invoices and ensure alignment with quotations.
- Coordinate with the Finance Department regarding billing and discrepancies.
- Monitor operational expenses to ensure cost efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in logistics operations, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures and customs regulations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel preferred).
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
