Purpose of the Job
The Merchandising Supervisor is responsible for supervising and controlling in-store execution across assigned territories by leading a team of Sales Merchandisers. The role ensures consistent implementation of ACCBC merchandising standards covering availability, visibility, pricing accuracy, FIFO discipline, hygiene, and asset compliance, while acting as the key execution interface between field teams and sales leadership.
Operating Context
The role operates in a high-volume FMCG retail environment across Modern Trade and Traditional Trade outlets in Jordan. Execution quality at outlet level directly impacts availability, brand equity, and sales performance.
The Merchandising Supervisor ensures disciplined execution in line with ACCBC policies, customer requirements, and Jordan regulatory standards, while managing daily field priorities and people performance.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Merchandising Execution Oversight
- Ensure consistent merchandising execution across all assigned ACCBC outlets.
- Enforce compliance with approved planograms, category flow, shelf standards, and cooler guidelines.
- Ensure effective placement and visibility of POS materials and promotional displays.
2. Team Supervision & Field Management
- Supervise, coach, and guide Sales Merchandisers on daily execution standards.
- Conduct regular joint market visits, outlet checks, and execution audits.
- Allocate routes, priorities, and workloads to ensure full outlet coverage.
- Identify performance gaps and implement corrective coaching actions.
3. Availability, Stock & FIFO Discipline
- Ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO principles across outlets.
- Monitor stock levels and proactively reduce out-of-stock situations.
- Ensure expired or damaged products are removed from shelves immediately.
4. Pricing & Compliance Control
- Ensure price tagging is accurate and aligned with ACCBC approved price segmentation.
- Confirm price labels are consistently displayed on shelves, displays, and coolers.
- Ensure ACCBC coolers and fridges are used exclusively for ACCBC products.
5. Hygiene & Asset Standards
- Ensure daily shelf, cooler, and product hygiene standards are maintained.
- Monitor condition and usage of ACCBC assets; report damage or misuse.
6. Reporting & Market Feedback
- Consolidate and submit execution reports covering availability, pricing, hygiene, and compliance.
- Report execution issues, stock variances, and risks to Sales Supervisor / Manager.
- Provide structured feedback on competitor activity and best practices observed in the market.
7. Policy & Governance Adherence
- Ensure compliance with:
- ACCBC Sales Policies and Procedures
- Credit and Collection Policies
- Logistics Policies and Procedures
- HR Policies and Code of Conduct
- Reinforce discipline, ethical behavior, and safety standards within the team.

- Planogram and display compliance rate
- Availability and out-of-stock reduction

- FIFO and expiry management effectiveness
- Shelf, cooler, and product hygiene compliance
- Merchandiser productivity and route coverage

Requirements
Minimum Experience
- 3–5 years experience in FMCG merchandising or in-store execution
- 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead merchandiser role preferred
Minimum Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred)
Knowledge
- Jordan retail environment and merchandising practices
- ACCBC sales, logistics, and merchandising standards
- Stock management and FIFO principles
- Working knowledge of Jordan labour and workplace regulations
