The Account Management Assistant Manager supports the delivery of account strategies aimed at driving profitable revenue growth and enhancing the Firm’s brand position with key clients.
About the Role
This role works closely with the Account Manager/Senior Manager, Client Lead Partner, Service Lines, Field of Play owners, Alliances, Sector Heads, and the wider Clients & Markets team to ensure coordination of business development initiatives and client engagement activities. The role holder assists in planning and reporting activities for assigned accounts through regular Client Service Team (CST) meetings. Utilizing KPMG Global business development tools and processes, they support cross-service collaboration, help drive priority propositions, and contribute to positioning KPMG as the firm of choice for clients. This role involves regular client interaction, building relationships, supporting identification of business opportunities, and assisting in delivery of client feedback programs. Acting as a key point of contact, the role holder promotes excellent communication between the client and the Firm and builds a network of contacts to help maximize commercial opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Support Account Management activities
- Assist in the organization of Annual Planning Workshops and contribute to completion of account plans and budgets under guidance from senior team members
- Support preparation and coordination of regular account meetings, ensuring timely reporting and activity tracking
- Work closely with the Account Manager/Senior Manager, Client Lead Partner, and CST members to help implement business development activities
- Liaise with alliance partners and other internal stakeholders to support revenue growth initiatives
- Work with Marketing & Communications to help manage client engagement activities and develop communications materials
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date account information and activity records in CRM systems
- Support business development activity
- Develop a strong understanding of KPMG’s service offerings and support proactive business development across relevant client stakeholders
- Assist with sales opportunities by gathering client insights, coordinating bid materials, and supporting preparation of value propositions and presentations
- Help ensure adherence to KPMG business development best practices and participate in training as required
Qualifications
- Qualified to Degree level (MA in Business Administration) or equivalent
- 5-7 years experience of client facing key account/business development management
Knowledge / Technical Skills
- Very strong client-facing sales / business development experience
- Experience in sales / business development strategy and account planning
- Proven ability to network and leverage that network to achieve successful outcomes
- Strong project skills and ability to manage complex/multiple work-streams
- Work under pressure with challenging deadlines, multiple stakeholders and opinions
- Ability to facilitate and chair account strategy and planning sessions
- Proven ability to develop and write persuasive and clear client facing documentation
