The Yard Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and managing the truck marshalling yard operations during assigned shifts, ensuring orderly truck movement, compliance with safety protocols, and effective coordination with the Control Room and terminal operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and regulate truck entry and exit within the marshaling yards to prevent congestion and ensure smooth flow.
- Conduct field inspections to verify truck positioning, yard cleanliness, and adherence to operational procedures.
- Coordinate with the Control Room to align truck dispatching with terminal loading/unloading schedules.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, reporting any violations or incidents immediately.
- Guide truck drivers on yard procedures, parking zones, and movement instructions.
- Support documentation processes related to truck movement, including entry permits and clearance coordination.
- Respond to operational issues raised by drivers or yard staff and escalate when necessary.
- Maintain real-time communication with gate operators, yard teams, and terminal supervisors.
- Report shifts' activities and incidents to the Operations Supervisor or Manager.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, or related field.
- Proficiency in English and as per Local Government Regulations
- 3- 5 years of experience in similar role
- Knowledge of Truck Control Systems (TCS), Terminal Operating Systems (TOS), or Yard Management Systems (YMS).
