Job Description:
We are seeking a Proofreader to support financial consulting team by ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism across all client deliverables. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of financial terminology and an exceptional eye for detail, reviewing reports, presentations, and proposals to maintain consistency, clarity, and compliance with firm standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate and proofread high-level documents including financial statements, legal contracts, tax reports, audit findings, and other technical content from Arabic to English, and vice versa.
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all translations, maintaining the tone and terminology appropriate for industry standards.
- Review and edit translations done by junior translators and external vendors for quality assurance.
- Maintain a deep understanding of industryspecific terminology in finance, law, and auditing to ensure accurate translations.
- Utilize translation software tools and maintain terminology databases and glossaries.
- Provide linguistic and cultural consulting to teams to ensure that translations align with client needs in international markets.
- Converting written documents, such as financial statements, proposals, feasibility studies and government documents, from one language to another while maintaining the precise meaning of the original text.
- Revising translations done by others to ensure accuracy.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 years’ experience in proofreading or editing within a corporate or financial environment.
- Strong understanding of financial language, business writing, and document structure.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and document formatting best practices.
