Key Accountabilities :
- Design and validate the private cloud architecture considering the required BoM based on the sizing, the cabling, and the network required.
- Design a Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) solution based on VMware products like vRealize Automation and vSAN, familiar with SDDC technologies like SDS and SDN.
- Design and validate the architecture of the solution based on the virtualization, bare-metal setup, or containerization using K8s and OpenShift.
- Familiarity with OpenStack technology to build a private cloud with CEPH storage, creating the tenants, managing permissions, and allocating the required compute resources.
- Experience on public clouds mainly for GCP, AWS, and Azure.
- Familiarity with working on other platforms, such as Nutanix.
- Understanding the architecture of the network and how to do the connectivity and their types, the best practices for the traffic toward the SRs, ToR, and core switches.
- Understanding the network segregation and vLANs, the best practices for the design to enhance data protection and network security.
- Sizing of the solution in terms of storage, compute. and networking.
- Evaluate the various technical offers and put the recommendations based on the best practices by OJO.
- Provisioning the virtual machines and resources through Horizon and vRealize Automation, besides the standard vCenter and vSphere tools.
- Provisioning/managing the resources through Horizon-Open Stack.
- Study and evaluate the best design of the solution to make it highly available using the different load balancing and clustering technology that can be applied.
- Validate the design of the solution from end to end, contacting all the concerned parties to cover all the aspects of the solution design.
- Manage the Security By Design of the solution, including the various security controls like WAF, SIEM, VA assessment (solving the vulnerability findings report).
- Managing the solution design and build implementation life cycle as a project from end to end (based on waterfall or agile project management), full understanding of the project lifecycle and all of the phases inside.
- Manage the environment of IS Data Centre Sites for hosting Hardware Equipment to ensure compliance with standard Operating Specifications.
- Manage core computer servers & storage hardware installation & configuration to ensure proper implementation and application accessibility.
- Manage users' office automation Services for the Internal domain & Intra/Internet, Email, Directory, File, Fax, and Print systems to improve users' productivity.
- Manage systems performance & protection services of Backup & Recovery, Patch Mgmt., Anti-Virus/Spam, Intrusion Systems, Performance Monitoring, and Centralized Scheduling tools to improve systems reliability, access control, and efficiency.
- Facilitate and implement the design of the Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Readiness & Test Drills to ensure equipment standby operability and accessibility by business units to activate mission critical applications in a disaster situation.
- Manage to build standard KPIs for the systems dashboard that will identify the dimensioning of the systems and capacity planning.
- Identify the dimensioning process for business applications in terms of middleware and database for upgrade/expansion or enhancement.
- Support the functional team in developing a new business solution for the infrastructure layer sizing and requirements.
- Maximize System Proactive Security Measures, minimize down-times & recovery windows, and maximize systems efficiency, effective Integrated Monitoring, Alarming and Escalation Schemes.
- Performs other duties as assigned, that is related to the technical domain.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or MIS.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT, Technology & different systems infrastructure platforms.
