Position Scope:
The QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable software solutions by designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies. This role requires strong technical expertise, ownership of QA processes, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify, resolve, and prevent defects throughout the development lifecycle. The QA Engineer will also drive automation efforts, mentor junior testers, and contribute to continuous improvement of QA standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on system requirements, user stories, and business needs.
- Perform a wide range of testing (functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and end-to-end).
- Lead quality efforts across web, mobile, and API platforms to ensure performance, usability, and compliance.
- Implement, maintain, and expand automated testing frameworks to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and identify quality risks early in the cycle.
- Track, log, and manage defects using industry-standard bug tracking tools, ensuring proper documentation and timely resolution.
- Participate actively in Agile processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in testing best practices and use of tools.
- Contribute to QA strategy and continuous improvement initiatives to elevate overall software quality standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Proven experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in cross-functional development teams.
- Strong proficiency with QA tools (test management, issue tracking, CI/CD pipelines).
- Solid knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for test automation.
- Expertise with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Experience testing across multiple platforms, including mobile (iOS/Android), web, and APIs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience with performance/load testing tools is a plus (e.g., JMeter, Locust).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
