Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
Category Director to lead and manage the e-commerce category operations for a well-known online retail company in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in e-commerce, category management, and leadership, with the ability to develop strategies that drive growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with company goals.
- Lead and motivate the category team to achieve sales, margin, and growth objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and optimize product assortment.
- Monitor category performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 7 to15 years of experience in e-commerce, ideally with leading online retail or marketplace platforms.
- Strong expertise in category management, pricing strategy, and product development.
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
