Responsibilities
The compact nature of the FIFA Arab Cup 2025 provides a unique opportunity of a centralized media operations approach, offering a variety of services and facilities and MD-1 operations at the Main Media Centre (MMC) and adapting the Media Operations at the Stadiums and Training Sites accordingly.
Each Media Operations Venue Manager will be assigned primarily to one Stadium and will be responsible to plan, deliver and manage the media facilities and services as per FIFA requirements and agreed level of service at the specific venue. At the same time, they will be responsible to overview and coordinate the planning and implementation of the media facilities at certain Training Sites and support on the planning and delivery of media operations on other venues/stadiums as required
- Ensure implementation of the agreed plans and level of services at the media areas at the Stadium (Stadium Media Centre, Media Tribune, Press Conference Room, Mixed Zone, Pitch Photo Positions, Catwalk) including the last mile (Media parking, drop-off/load zone, Media PSA).
- Update media areas drawings and manage issue resolutions.
- Ensure implementation of approved layouts of all media areas, and fine-tune operational details during the final site operating plans exercises and on the ground.
- Review and adapt on venue level, all requirements related to furniture, equipment, infrastructure, overlays, signage, catering etc, ensuring always alignment with the centralized media operations mechanism and in coordination with the respective functional areas focal points.
- Participate and represent Media Operations at the Venue Team Meetings, and ensure detailed reporting of progress, challenges or highlights at all planning and operational phases.
- Support the media operations staff and volunteers’ recruitment, training and management on venue level.
- Ensure close collaboration with the FIFA Media Officers during event time and ensure joint management of the media areas at the Stadium or Training Sites.
- Ensure close collaboration with the MMC media team for the delivery of the MD-1 activities at the Main Media Centre if and when required.
- Create reports, summaries and debrief documents as required, both on venue level (to: Venue Manager) and on functional level (to central Media Operations team).
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of media operations during any official test events and other events as part of the preparations leading to the FIFA Arab Cup 2025.
- Support other media operations venue teams, before and during the tournament, as required
Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
- Previous work experience on international event industry, at media operations field of sports. business, preferably with knowledge of the needs of football teams and football media.
- Good understanding of the needs of media at a competition venue and/or training sites.
- Knowledge of project management and planning processes established in large organisations and experience in strategical and operational planning.
- Experience of leading a team, including volunteers.
- Fluent in English (both verbal and writing / business language), while Arabic is an asset.
- Ability to stay calm and efficient under time pressure, in multitasking environment.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt on the specific requirements of the role instantly.
- Priority to people that have experience in previous experience in stadiums in Qatar (FAC, FWC, AFC etc) and/or strong Venue Management experience.
