The Jordanian American Physicians Association (JAPA) is a non-profit, volunteer-led organization dedicated to supporting Jordanian medical students, graduates, and healthcare professionals through education, mentorship, and global collaboration. JAPA bridges the medical communities in Jordan and the U.S., facilitating clinical training, research, and professional development for over 11,000 members. JAPA initiatives include clinical rotation programs, residency match support, online courses, financial assistance, and networking events, all aimed at advancing healthcare and empowering future medical leaders.
Position Summary
The Marketing & Operations Manager will be based in Jordan and will serve as one of JAPA’s representatives in Jordan, responsible for driving marketing campaigns, strengthening the organization’s regional presence, coordinating operations, and supporting fundraising through grants and donations.
This role requires a highly motivated professional with exceptional organizational and development skills and knowledge in marketing who can support JAPA’s growing portfolio of educational, research, and community initiatives. The Marketing & Operations Manager will be entrusted with leading and expanding JAPA’s footprint in Jordan and the US, ensuring seamless alignment with JAPA’s global strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing & Communications (Primary Focus)
- Lead all marketing and branding activities for JAPA within Jordan and the region.
- Develop and execute campaigns for conferences, symposia, and educational programs.
- Manage JAPA’s digital and social media presence in Arabic and English.
- Coordinate with external media firms, designers, and communication partners.
- Ensure consistent messaging and brand identity across all platforms.
- Media Relations: Draft press releases, coordinate with journalists, and pitch stories about medical programs, student initiatives, or other government collaborations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key contact for healthcare partners, donors, academic institutions, and student groups.
- Marketing Operations Responsibilities:
• Digital Marketing: Oversee website, social media, email newsletters, and educational content for students and partners.
• Brand Consistency: Ensure consistent messaging across all platforms that reflects both the medical and educational nature of the organization.
-Educational Outreach: Partner with schools, universities, and medical institutions to increase participation in programs.
-Feedback Channels: Develop communication pipelines to understand and amplify success stories.
- Fundraising, Grants & Development
- Support JAPA’s fundraising goals by identifying, writing, and managing grant applications.
- Build relationships with regional donors, sponsors, and partners to generate new funding streams.
- Collaborate on global sponsorship campaigns and endowment-building efforts.
- Develop proposals and outreach strategies to secure donations from individuals, corporations, and institutions.

- Operational Management( Support and help when required)
- Assist's in JAPA’s day-to-day activities in Jordan, ensuring smooth execution of administrative and regulatory tasks.
- Support program rollouts including JAPA Academy, JAPA Journal, and JAPA Elective Program.
- Assist in organizing local and regional conferences, training workshops, and academic collaborations.
- Provide concierge services to members and guests, including coordination for visiting physicians and delegations.
- Serve as the bridge between Jordan-based operations and JAPA executive team.
- Provide regular reporting on progress, outcomes, and challenges.
- Ensure that regional initiatives align with JAPA’s global mission and standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field.
- Proven experience in marketing, digital media management, and fundraising.
- Demonstrated ability to secure grants and donations through proposals, campaigns, or sponsorship outreach.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
- Master’s degree in marketing, business administration, nonprofit management, or related discipline.
- Previous experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or academic organizations.
- Strong network within Jordan’s healthcare and academic community.
- Experience working with international teams.
