The Operations Director provides executive leadership and oversight of all operational functions across handicrafts -home accessories (Jordan River Designs) and Food & Beverage.
The role ensures operational excellence, efficiency, compliance, customer satisfaction and financial sustainability while directly contributing to the JRF mandate of empowering thousands of beneficiaries to generate sustainable income and achieve financial independence.
The Director ensures that operational growth translates into expanded livelihood opportunities without compromising quality, compliance, or financial discipline.
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Lead the development and execution of integrated operational strategies across Handicrafts and Food & Beverage.
- Translate organizational and JRF strategic objectives into measurable operational plans and targets.
- Establish short- and long-range operational goals, policies, and procedures; monitor effectiveness and implement improvements where required.
- Drive scalable production models that increase beneficiary inclusion while maintaining efficiency and quality standards.
- Advise senior management on operational risks, capacity expansion, and sustainability planning.
Operational Oversight
- Oversee daily production, restaurants and kitchen operations , catering and hospitality services, and supply chain operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
- Optimize resource utilization (human, financial, material) to maximize productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure operational systems support both commercial performance and structured beneficiary engagement.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance output, reduce waste, and strengthen competitiveness.
- Develop and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and expenditure controls.
- Ensure achievement of operational financial targets while safeguarding SE sustainability.
- Monitor cost structures, inventory systems, and procurement efficiency.
- Establish performance metrics covering production efficiency, quality control, and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory standards.
- Oversee adherence to international partnership standards (handicrafts) and HACCP /Halal standards (Food & Beverage).
- Lead audits, risk assessments, and quality assurance systems.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational discipline.
Organizational & Team Leadership
- Lead and develop high-performing operations teams across units.
- Strengthen workforce planning and structured supervision models that support large-scale beneficiary engagement.
- Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Enterprise Resource Planning, Marketing, or any other related discipline;
- 15+ years of proven experience
- Excellent command of English
