Job Summary
The Senior Finance & Data Analyst is responsible for managing and closing financial statements, ensuring accuracy in accounting operations, and providing data-driven insights to support business decisions. This role involves extracting and analyzing financial and operational data from various sources (Excel, MySQL, ERP/CRM systems) and preparing comprehensive reports for management.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Accounting
- Prepare and post journal entries, review accounting transactions, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes and prepare financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement).
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records for accounts receivable and payable.
- Ensure adherence to IFRS or local accounting standards.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Extract and analyze data from multiple sources, including Excel, MySQL databases, and internal business systems.
- Develop and maintain financial and operational dashboards for performance monitoring.
- Analyze revenue, expenses, and financial trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide actionable insights to management based on data-driven analysis.
Operational Support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely availability of accurate financial data.
- Resolve discrepancies and ensure all outstanding issues are addressed before closing periods.
- Contribute to process improvements in financial reporting and data management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in finance, accounting, and data analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
- Proficiency in SQL (MySQL) for data extraction and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS or local accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Experience with ERP/CRM systems.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
- Experience in Saudi Market
