About The Role
The Data Entry Officer is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining information in Jo Academy’s databases and systems. This role requires high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage large volumes of data efficiently. The Data Entry Officer ensures that all data is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to support business operations and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and update data accurately into internal systems, databases, and spreadsheets.
- Review and verify data for errors or inconsistencies and correct them when found.
- Maintain data integrity and security by following established processes and guidelines.
- Organize and manage both digital and paper records to ensure easy retrieval.
- Work closely with other departments to collect, process, and update relevant information.
- Generate routine and ad-hoc reports from databases as requested.
- Ensure timely completion of data entry tasks in line with project deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with company policy.
- Perform data clean-up and system updates to improve database quality.
- Assist in the development of standardized data entry procedures and best practices.
- Perform other related administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
- 0–2 years of experience in data entry, administration, or similar role
- Fluent in English and Arabic
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with database systems; typing speed of at least 50 WPM with high accuracy; strong organizational skills
