Role Description The Senior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Sahab. The Senior Accountant will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Responsibilities include preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and monitoring cash flow and working capital. The role will ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies, and will support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with operations and management teams to analyze financial performance, provide cost and margin insights related to recycling activities, and recommend process improvements to strengthen financial controls and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in general accounting, including general ledger management, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports, with the ability to interpret data and provide clear recommendations.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards (such as IFRS or GAAP), local tax laws, and regulatory compliance requirements, including audit preparation and support.
- Advanced skills in accounting and ERP software, as well as strong Microsoft Excel capabilities (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, financial models).
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and maintain internal controls, process documentation, and efficient workflows across the finance function.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred.
- Several years of progressive accounting experience, including prior responsibility at a senior or supervisory level; experience in manufacturing, recycling, or industrial sectors is an advantage.
