Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Internal Cost & Performance Analyst to join our internal finance team. The ideal candidate will bridge HR data with financial metrics to produce insightful reports related to employee costing, client profitability, and project performance. This role plays a vital part in supporting strategic decision-making within the firm. Prior experience in a certified accounting or auditing firm is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze HR reports (e.g., employee cost, overhead allocations, utilization) and translate them into financial insights.
- Prepare cost-per-employee reports and link them to client/project billing.
- Monitor and analyze overhead distribution across teams and departments.
- Develop and maintain client profitability dashboards.
- Collaborate with HR and Operations to understand staffing patterns and project assignments.
- Provide monthly and quarterly financial performance summaries to management.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes related to workforce and service costs.
- Maintain accurate documentation for internal audits and compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, or internal finance roles.
- Previous experience in a certified accounting or auditing firm is required.
- Strong knowledge of cost allocation principles and performance metrics.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Familiarity with HR-related financial reporting is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
