The Public Relations Officer to execute PR plans, develop compelling content, and manage media relations. The role involves coordinating press activities, ensuring consistent messaging, and enhancing the company’s public image. Strong writing, planning, and communication skills are essential.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Implement approved PR plans and monitor timelines and deliverables for designated brands and regions to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Research and write creative and engaging press releases, articles and other copy for publications in line with communications objectives.
- Create briefs with a view to capturing inspiring and media savvy photography and videos and escort such assignments that support PR releases and copy.
- Prepare and coordinate itineraries of visiting journalists, and escort the media for the scheduled company site visits.
- Escort interviews with both print and broadcast media with a view to ensuring that key messages, accurate information and data are communicated, and any possibilities of miscommunication are mitigated or minimized.
- Build strong and effective media relations. Respond to media queries with carefully researched and approved information, in order to maintain consistency of the information provided to different media within set guidelines.
- Generate clear, accurate and concise reports to both business units and internally on PR initiatives.
- Liaise effectively with all external suppliers including PR agencies and internally with specialist and account management functions to maximize PR opportunities and provide integrated marcomms
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Excellent communication skills both in written and spoken English. Any other language would be an advantage
- Strong organizational skills; ability to interact effectively with international and national personnel.
- The ability to handle several diverse projects concurrently and independently.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel).

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or any related field
- A Minimum of 3 years experience in Media Communications and Public Relations.
- Experience of working in a PR agency is a plus
