Position Responsibilities
Markets
- Identify and prioritize target markets through analysis of trends, opportunities, and alignment with company goals.
- Conduct customer discovery to understand needs and expand the customer base by targeting the right segments.
- Ensure product-market and product-customer fit through ongoing market research and product alignment.
- Relationships
- Build and manage strong relationships with customers, partners, and complementary vendors, fostering trust and strategic collaboration.
- Promote the company’s value and competitive advantage through clear, persuasive, and innovative communication.
- Align with internal teams (sales, marketing, product) to ensure a cohesive approach to client engagement.
Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute business development strategies that support long-term company growth.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities such as partnerships, market expansion, and strategic alliances.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to guide strategic planning and mitigate risks.
Long-Term Value
- Drive sustainable revenue growth by creating new revenue streams and expanding into profitable markets.
- Contribute to building a long-lasting competitive edge through innovation, partnerships, and strategic positioning.
- Provide regular reporting on business development progress, forecasts, and strategic initiatives to leadership.
Required Competencies
- 8–10 years of experience in business development, sales, or technical pre-sales within the telecom or software development industry.
- Proven track record of growing client portfolios, penetrating new markets, and closing B2B deals (especially in enterprise telecom or digital solutions).
- Experience working with telecom operators, service providers, or enterprise clients.
- Technical fluency — able to understand, position, and discuss software solutions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and ability to develop go-to-market plans and identify new growth opportunities.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills across C-level executives, technical teams, and partners.
- Results-oriented, self-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Experience in proposal writing, pricing models, and contract negotiation.
Nice To Have
- Experience in international business development, particularly in the Middle East, Africa, or GCC regions.
