Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Amman for a Senior AP Accountant. The Senior AP Accountant will be responsible for managing the accounts payable (AP) process, including invoice processing, account reconciliation, and monthly AP reporting. The role also involves handling financial transactions, ensuring accurate invoicing, and maintaining detailed records of expenses. Additionally, the Senior AP Accountant will collaborate with other departments to ensure timely payments and resolve any discrepancies.
- Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with PO systems and approval workflows.
- Reconcile supplier statements, resolve discrepancies, and manage payment cycles.
- Handle multi-currency transactions (if applicable) and maintain AP aging reports.
- Implement process improvements for AP efficiency and accuracy.
-Costing & Inventory Control:
- Analyze and standardize costs for spare parts, repairs, and service center operations.
- Monitor inventory valuation, COGS, and manufacturing variances (if applicable).
- Prepare cost reports, margin analysis, and KPIs to support pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations to optimize cost-saving initiatives.
- Assist in month-end closing, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure adherence to IFRS/local GAAP and internal controls.
- Support audits and tax filings related to AP and inventory.
Qualifications
- Finance and Accounting skills
- Experience in Account Reconciliation
- Proficiency in Invoice Processing and Invoicing
- Attention to detail and ability to handle financial records accurately
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with accounting software is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
