Duties & Responsibilities:
- Implement and oversee procurement processes, ensuring best practices in vendor sourcing, risk assessment, and contract management.
- Develop, implement, and maintain procurement procedures and best practices, including vendor sourcing, risk assessment, and contract lifecycle management.
- Source and procure services for ramp handling, passenger handling, and cargo handling.
- Monitor handling service markets to stay informed about available and emerging service providers.
- Negotiate with handling service providers to maximize value and optimize service agreements.
- Address and resolve issues that may arise between service handlers and Royal Jordanian.
- Provide strategic recommendations and reports to colleagues, senior management, and tender committees.
- Ensure all contracts are fully authorized and signed by the relevant internal and external parties, in compliance with the competency framework and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor local and international lease/rent agreements and take necessary action for renewal, termination, or new leasing based on operational needs.
- Communicate with vendors to interpret, clarify, and resolve procurement-related issues.
- Establish, document, and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance and operational integrity.
- Utilize and manage ERP systems to support procurement and logistics operations within Royal Jordanian.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Excellent command of English Communication and Negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to interact effectively with international and national personnel.
- In-depth understanding of procurement processes and best practices
- Knowledge of vendor sourcing, risk assessment, and contract management
- Excellent Managerial and Leadership Skills
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel).
- Problem Solving and decision-making skills.
- Vendor performance evaluation and relationship management
- Familiarity with ground handling services (ramp, passenger, and cargo) is a plus
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics or any related fields
