Accountabilities and Key Roles:
Risk Assessments
- Assist in the facilitation of Risk Assessment process for the Bank’s Digital transformation Journeys and new Products, activities, processes, and systems, and liaise with related stakeholders in this regard.
- Assist in reviewing change requests received from various stakeholders within the Bank via adopted channels and systems, and draft Operational Risk initial responses / recommendations to them.
- Follow-up with Country Risk Managers (CRMs) to ensure change requests related to AB plc. countries are addressed from operational risk perspective.
- Provide support to CRMs in regards to Risk assessment activities related to new / updated Products, activities, processes, and systems.
- Assist in the review of Risk Assessments and Risk Assessment reports received from Country Risk Managers (CRMs) to ensure proper coverage, completeness, and that appropriate action is taken to maintain risks within acceptable levels.
- Follow-up and monitor status of mitigation action plans as part of the action management process for risk assessments carried out in coordination with related stakeholders.
- Review and provide feedback regarding digital transformation journeys and new / updated products, activities, processes, or systems high-level policies and P&Ps to ensure that minimum control requirements are in place.
- Review and provide feedback regarding outsourcing agreements with third party service providers related to digital transformation and operational change to ensure operational risks are well mitigated in-line with AB ERM frameworks in this regard.
General Operational Risk Management
- Assist in the development and maintain ORM system in line with leading practices and data aggregation requirements.
- Maintain the Operational Risk data repository related to new / updated products, activities, processes and systems and related records.
- Assist in the review of the related ERM Operational Risk Management frameworks and High-level policies.
- Assist in the development and execution the Operational Risk Management Stress test scenarios and contribute to the ICAAP process covering Operational Risk Management related inputs.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, IT or a related field from a recognized university.
Experience:
- 3 to 6 years of experience in Banking Risk management, operations transformation, Digital transformation, or control functions (e.g. Risk Management / Audit) in a leading financial institution or relevant area.
Competencies:.
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
- Good understanding of the Banking business.
- Demonstrated knowledge in banking digital transformation and innovation.
- Good knowledge in cloud computing, AI and machine learning
- Strong analytical and statistical skills.
- Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
