About the Consultancy
The organization is seeking an experienced Human Resources Consultant to support a comprehensive review and development of job descriptions across the organization.
The assignment will focus on conducting a structured and evidence-based job analysis, reviewing existing roles and responsibilities, and developing/updating job descriptions in line with recognized HR best practices. A key component of the assignment will be the development of clear, practical, and measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) linked to the responsibilities and expected outputs of each position.
Key Responsibilities
The Consultant will:
- Review existing job descriptions, organizational structure, and relevant HR documents.
- Conduct structured job analysis through document review, interviews, and consultations with relevant managers and job holders.
- Identify and clarify key responsibilities, accountabilities, expected outputs, and reporting relationships.
- Develop or update job descriptions using a consistent organizational format and methodology.
- Develop position-specific KPIs that are measurable, practical, and directly linked to expected results and outputs.
- Identify significant overlaps, gaps, or unclear responsibilities where applicable.
- Facilitate the review and validation of draft job descriptions with HR and relevant management.
- Provide recommendations to strengthen the organization’s job description and performance management framework.
Key Deliverables
- Standardized methodology and tools for job analysis and job description development.
- Updated/new job descriptions for positions within the agreed scope.
- Position-specific KPIs linked to responsibilities and expected outputs.
- Consolidated responsibility, output, and KPI matrix.
- Brief final report highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Handover session with the HR team on the methodology and outputs.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Public Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional HR qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Human Resources and/or Organizational Development.
- Proven experience in job analysis, job description development, job design, and performance management.
- Demonstrated experience in developing measurable KPIs and linking them to job responsibilities and organizational objectives.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and recognized approaches to job analysis and performance management.
- Experience with similar assignments in development, non-profit, international, or multi-functional organizations is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, consultation, and report-writing skills.
- Excellent command of Arabic and English.
