About the Role:
A Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software, systems, or products by identifying and resolving defects. This role involves developing and executing test plans, analyzing test results, and collaborating with development teams to meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for web, mobile, and API-based applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define testing strategies.
- Perform different types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts, ensuring coverage of all scenarios.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools like Jira or Click up and ensure timely resolution.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the automation framework using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.
- Monitor and report on test results, providing feedback to improve product quality and development processes.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, tools, and technologies to continuously enhance testing processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Strong experience in manual testing of web applications and APIs.
- Good knowledge of test cases, regression testing, smoke testing, and defect reporting.
- Experience with Jira or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of API testing using Postman.
- Experience with automation testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium is a plus.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Nice to have:
- Basic Git knowledge.
- Exposure to CI/CD and AI-assisted testing tools.
