Back-End Engineer (Node.js)
We are looking for an experienced Back-End Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of backend architecture, databases, API development, security, and performance optimization.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations.
- Develop clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Design database schemas and optimize queries.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability.
- Optimize application performance and scalability.
- Write unit, integration, and API tests.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Collaborate with frontend, mobile, QA, DevOps, and product teams.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of professional backend development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with Express.js, NestJS, or similar frameworks.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar databases.
- Good knowledge of database design, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience with Redis or other caching technologies.
- Understanding of JWT/OAuth and application security.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD.
- Experience writing automated backend tests.
- Familiarity with Docker and cloud platforms.
- Experience with microservices, message queues, or AWS/Azure/GCP is a plus.
