Senior AI Engineer

About the Role
Rubix Studio is looking for a hands-on Senior AI Engineer to develop, integrate, and deploy AI capabilities across its technology products.
This is a practical software development role. The selected candidate must be able to write production-quality code and convert AI use cases into reliable, deployable product features.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain AI-powered applications using Python.
- Integrate existing AI and machine learning models into Rubix Studio products.
- Build backend services and APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks.
- Develop solutions involving LLM applications, RAG, AI agents, computer vision, OCR, document intelligence, or predictive machine learning.
- Prepare and process data for model development and evaluation.
- Convert prototypes into production-ready features.
- Deploy and monitor AI services in cloud or on-premise environments.
- Collaborate with software developers, product teams, and technical specialists.
- Evaluate solution accuracy, performance, reliability, and operating cost.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of relevant professional experience.
- At least 4 years of practical experience developing or deploying AI or machine learning solutions.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Strong software development experience, including APIs, databases, testing, Git, and clean code practices.
- Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with Docker and deploying production applications.
- Practical experience in at least two of the following:
- LLM applications, RAG, embeddings, vector search, or AI agents.
- Computer vision and image or video analysis.
- OCR, document intelligence, classification, and information extraction.
- Predictive machine learning applications.
- Ability to translate business requirements into working technical solutions.
- Good English communication skills and fluency in Arabic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, Hugging Face, or open-source models.
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with vector databases such as pgvector, Qdrant, Pinecone, or FAISS.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD, MLOps, and model monitoring.
