Position Purpose
A Trade Marketing Representative (TMR) plays a vital role in driving product visibility, availability, and sales performance within a specific geographic territory or market segment. The primary purpose of a Trade Marketing Representative is to bridge the gap between the brand and the retail environment. They ensure the company’s products are well-positioned in stores, increasing brand presence, product availability, Merchendising, driving consumer demand at the point of purchase and to deploy all respective trade activities.
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Route Planning and Execution Developing and following efficient route plans to ensure the availability and visibility of JTI brands in assigned channels. This involves close collaboration with Area Sales Managers to optimize route effectiveness.
- In-Store Promotion and Point of Sale Materials (POSM) Management Analyzing accounts to increase shop share through in-store promotions, ensuring planogram implementation, managing visibility contracts, maintaining POSM in optimal condition, and ensuring fresh stock availability according to the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) rule.
- Market Intelligence and Competitor Analysis Monitoring and reporting on competitor activities, gathering accurate and timely market intelligence, and disseminating information on JTI and competitors’ activities to inform strategic decisions.
- Relationship Building Establishing and maintaining close contact with key stakeholders, such as retailer owners and managers, to support objectives related to product availability, market share, market information, and promotion programs.
- Consumer Activities and Outlet Management Selecting and managing appropriate outlets for conducting consumer engagement activities to enhance brand engagement and drive sales
Requirements
Minimum 3 years experience in Trade Marketing, Sales, Merchendising, Distibution in FMCG company
