Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Front Desk Receptionist role based in Amman. The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for greeting guests, managing check-in and check-out procedures, answering phone calls, and responding to guest inquiries in a professional manner. Daily tasks include handling reservations, maintaining guest records, processing payments, and coordinating with housekeeping and other departments to fulfill guest requests. The role also involves managing the front desk area, performing basic clerical and administrative duties, and ensuring that hotel policies and procedures are followed. The Receptionist is expected to provide courteous and efficient service, helping create a positive guest experience from arrival to departure.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues.
- Proficiency in receptionist duties, including managing check-in/check-out, handling reservations, and maintaining guest information.
- Good phone etiquette and the ability to manage incoming calls, messages, and guest inquiries efficiently.
- Clerical skills such as basic data entry, document handling, and use of office and front desk systems.
- Ability to remain calm and organized in a busy environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with hotel management "Sky Software" is an advantage.
- Prior experience in hospitality, front desk, or customer-facing roles is preferred.
- Ability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is beneficial; additional languages are a plus.
