We are currently seeking a qualified and proactive Health And Safety Officer to join our team for the Al Fuheis – Mahis Project. The ideal candidate will have experience in occupational health and safety practices within infrastructure and water network projects, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with all applicable safety regulations and standards.
About the Role
The Health And Safety Officer will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing health, safety, and environmental requirements on project sites.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental requirements on project sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and project procedures.
- Prepare safety reports, inspection records, and incident documentation.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for project personnel.
- Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders on all safety-related matters.
- Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety legislation and company policies.
- Support emergency preparedness and response activities on site.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or
- Diploma from an accredited college with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Proven experience in water network projects.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, procedures, and best practices.
- Relevant health and safety certifications are an advantage.
