Assistant Finance Manager in our office in Amman, Jordan.
The Assistant Finance Manager is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining strong financial controls across all UAE entities. This role requires deep technical accounting expertise, strong command of IFRS, and hands‑on experience with audits, regulatory submissions, and ERP systems.
The position plays a central role in validating trading‑related data, managing month‑end close, preparing statutory financial statements, and supporting capital adequacy and liquidity monitoring. The Assistant Finance Manager will work closely with Finance, Risk, Operations, HR, and Data teams to ensure timely reporting, operational accuracy, and proactive identification of financial risks.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
- Lead month/year end closing including but not limited to journal entries accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and schedules.
- Prepare Management Packs and do variance analysis and required commentary.
Data Management and Validation
- Perform detailed data validation across different platforms like CDP SQL, MT4/MT5, and SAP S/4HANA to ensure data integrity.
- Work with the Data team to generate validated datasets for regulatory filings, VAT, and management reporting.
- Investigate discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
Audit Management & Financial Statements
- Lead external audits & quarterly reviews, ensuring timely completion of all deliverables.
- Ensure audit findings are addressed and corrective actions implemented.
Regulatory & Compliance
- Prepare and submit all regulators required filings and ensure full compliance
- Prepare and submit VAT and Corporate Returns.
ERP & Systems Management (SAP S/4HANA)
- Participate in SAP enhancements, process automation, and system upgrades.
- Support integration of Brokerage and Non Brokerage systems with SAP.
Ad Hoc & Executive Support
- Prepare financial analysis and reports for ExCo, Risk, Group Finance, and regulators.
- Provide insights on financial risks, control gaps, and operational enhancements.
Skills & Competencies
- Attention to detail is critical
- Ability to manage own time, meet deadlines and independent
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent technical accounting skills (IFRS)
Experience Requirements
- Qualified Accountant.
- Minimum 5+ years of professional financial reporting experience
- Financial services experience, ideally in a brokerage, is desired although not mandatory
