NOW HIRING - Head of Finance
We are hiring a Head of Finance on behalf of our client, a leading real estate developer in the residential, mixed-use, and hospitality sectors.
Role Purpose
The Head of Finance is responsible for leading the financial operations, strategy, reporting, and controls of the real estate development business. This role supports executive management in driving profitability, managing risk, and ensuring strong financial governance across all projects and corporate operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across all real estate development projects.
- Oversee project feasibility studies, development appraisals, investment analysis, and financial modeling for land acquisitions and new developments.
- Monitor project cash flows, construction budgets, sales collections, escrow accounts, and overall project profitability.
- Manage project financing activities, including construction loans, refinancing, banking relationships, and lender reporting.
- Work closely with development, sales, procurement, and legal teams to ensure financial alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee contractor payments, cost tracking, variation analysis, and development expenditure controls.
- Prepare and present financial and project performance reports to senior management, investors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, tax obligations, and audit processes.
- Manage treasury operations, working capital, debt obligations, and funding requirements across multiple projects and entities.
- Develop and strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and risk management procedures.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Current experience working directly for a tier 1 real estate developer
- Candidates must be currently based in Jordan or have previous working experience there, with knowledge of the local market
- A professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or CFA is preferred.
- 13+ years of finance experience within real estate development, construction, or property investment.
- Strong understanding of real estate project finance, development accounting, cash flow management, and feasibility analysis.
- Experience managing project financing, lender relationships, and multi-project reporting.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
