The Director of IT (IS) is directly responsible for the Information Systems team. The primary function of this department is to provide business applications/systems, both commercial off-the-shelf and proprietary, to meet the needs and goals of the business.
Scope of the Position :
The IT Manager oversees the efforts of the Business Analysts to work with both internal and external users to identify and document business requirements, provide program specifications to the Software Developers, test applications and assist with application training.
The IT Manager also oversees the efforts of the Database / Mobile App Developers, who are tasked with developing, deploying and supporting software and applications in accordance with our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
This individual participates in strategic planning with departmental and senior management to ensure alignment between their business needs and our system capabilities, and to manage the delivery schedules of current and future projects.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Work with Business Analysts to gather business needs and requirements, and provide insight as a Subject Matter Expert of Acuative's systems.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Software Developers to design effective, scalable solutions.
- Manage the development and delivery of solutions, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Participate in strategic planning with departmental and senior management to align business needs with system capabilities and manage project delivery schedules.

- Executive staff.
- Departmental Managers.
- IT Team.
- Internal End Users.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Ability to learn and retain complex business rules.
- Ability to interpret business processes and discern system issues from process issues.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong Project Management skills.
- Intermediate Transact SQL Skills for basic support and troubleshooting.
- Proficient with AI Tools
Additional Qualifications Desired :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Computer Science.
- 5+ years of supervising.
Physical Demands :
- Working at a desk on a computer for long periods of time.
- Travel required < 10%.
