Technical Support Engineer – Roles & Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows desktops and laptops; knowledge of Mac and Linux systems is considered an added advantage.
- Perform hardware and software troubleshooting for end-user systems, peripherals, and related IT equipment.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot latest Windows Server environments to support organizational IT infrastructure.
- Create and join new users to the domain, configure user accounts, and assign appropriate permissions.
- Deactivate or disable domain user accounts when required according to company policies.
- Configure and manage DNS and DHCP services within the network environment.
- Provide firewall administration and troubleshooting support for Sophos and Fortinet firewalls.
- Install, configure, and support Cisco IP telephone systems. Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco network switches and network connectivity issues.
- Provide support to CCTV system configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting support.
- Install and configure MetaTrader Manager and client applications.
- Monitor and manage Veeam Backup solutions to ensure reliable backup and recovery processes.
- Install and troubleshoot various IT software tools and enterprise applications used within the organization.
- Provide Microsoft Outlook troubleshooting, including email configuration and synchronization issues in the laptops- Computer – Mobile and portable devices
- Provide basic support and access management for Salesforce CRM.
- Troubleshoot ISP connectivity issues and coordinate with service providers when necessary.
- Support and maintain operational knowledge of the Manaf system.
- Support and maintain operational knowledge of the JSC Systems.
- Provide support for remote collaboration tools such as Cisco Webex, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack, and other remote management tools.
- Maintain server room infrastructure, including UPS systems, air conditioning units, and fire alarm systems.
- Escalate unresolved technical issues to the Head Office or higher-level support teams when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with Jordan JSC IT standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage IT procurement activities according to company policies and maintain good vendor negotiation practices.
- Assist in maintaining internal IT policies, procedures, and corporate data security policies.
- Participate in system implementation projects, including installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain proper documentation of IT systems, incidents, and resolutions.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills in English and Arabic (reading and writing) while supporting users and coordinating with teams.
- Document the website and mobile app business workflows and testing results with the developers for any bugs or gaps identified.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT support or technical support roles.
- Ability to work flexible shifts as per company requirements and Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and customer support skills.
