Role Description The Food Server is a full-time, on-site role based at Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa in Amman, Jordan. The role involves welcoming guests, presenting menus, taking food and beverage orders, and serving meals and drinks in a timely and professional manner. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and clearing tables, ensuring cleanliness and proper table settings, and coordinating with kitchen and bar staff to deliver orders accurately. The Food Server responds to guest inquiries, supports special requests, and promotes menu items while maintaining Hilton service standards. The role also includes processing payments, following health and safety guidelines, and contributing to a positive and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills, with a focus on attentive, courteous, and professional guest interactions.
- Experience or knowledge in food & beverage and food service operations, including basic understanding of menus and dining procedures.
- Effective communication skills to interact clearly with guests, colleagues, and kitchen staff.
- Basic cooking or food preparation awareness is beneficial for understanding menu items and guest preferences.
- Previous experience in hotels, resorts, or restaurants is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
