Role Description
The Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reconciliations, regulatory compliance, and smooth financial coordination with Business Partners (BPs), Delivery Champions, banks, and payment gateways. The role supports financial control, reporting, and operational scalability of the easy platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage BP reconciliation reports
- Coordinate with payment gateway and solve all issues
- Manage the financials of the company
- Manage and prepare the payouts to BPs & champions & update the settlements in the platform
- Ensure timely processing of BP and Champion payouts in line with agreed SLAs and internal controls.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reconciliation reports for orders, settlements, refunds, and commissions.
- Monitor and reconcile payment gateway transactions, bank statements, wallets, and platform financial data.
- Ensure accurate recording of revenues, expenses, accruals, and provisions in the accounting system.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and variance analysis reports.
- Support cash flow planning, forecasting, and liquidity monitoring.
- Handle refunds, chargebacks, and disputed transactions in coordination with Customer Support and Operations teams.
- Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions for audit and compliance purposes.
- Ensure compliance with Jordanian tax regulations, including Sales Tax, Income Tax, and statutory filings.
- Assist with internal and external audits and respond to audit queries.
- Coordinate with banks, payment service providers, and external accountants when required.
- Support budgeting processes and cost control initiatives.
- Always maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial data.
- Assist the CFO with financial analysis and reporting as required.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in tech platforms, e-commerce, or delivery/logistics companies.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. And preferably professional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA) is an advantage.
- Technology: Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliation sheets), experience working with payment gateways and digital wallets is a strong advantage, and familiarity with cloud-based platforms and financial dashboards is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Arabic
- Willing to collaborate with different departments and provide support when needed.
- Capable of identifying errors and inefficiencies and taking proactive steps to resolve them.
