POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Systems Administrator’s role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house/cloud information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all corporate software and associated operating systems. The Systems Administrator will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of Information Technology (IT) systems investments. This individual will also mentor and provide guidance to the IT staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Administer and maintain Amideast’s major enterprise systems, including Moodle LMS, CRM, HR, and financial applications
Manage user access, permissions, roles, and account lifecycle processes across all corporate systems
Configure, deploy, and upgrade applications, modules, integrations, and system enhancements
Monitor system availability, security, and performance using appropriate tools and reporting mechanisms
Conduct root-cause analysis and implement improvements to maximize stability and efficiency
Maintain system connectivity between servers, SaaS platforms, PaaS tools, databases, and shared services
Apply system updates, patches, and security configurations across all managed applications
Enforce organizational IT policies including access control, data protection, and acceptable use guidelines
Support backup, recovery, and continuity requirements aligned with IT standards
Work with HQ, regional offices, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, resolve system issues, and support program needs
Provide technical guidance and advanced support for escalated helpdesk tickets
Deliver topic-specific training to IT staff in field offices
Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, workflows, data mappings, and processes
Coordinate and conduct system testing—including user acceptance testing—for new releases and enhancements
Support IT change management processes to ensure controlled deployment of updates
Evaluate new software solutions, tools, and system upgrades; prepare recommendations for leadership
Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, user experience, and operational workflows
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Instructional Design, or related field
Minimum of 4+ years’ hands-on experience in enterprise systems administration
Experience with LMS platforms—Moodle LMS highly preferred
Prior experience supporting enterprise applications such as CRM, ERP, or HR systems
Experience working in hybrid on-premise/cloud environments
Strong proficiency with Linux and Windows Server environments
Working knowledge of MS SQL, MySQL, MariaDB, or equivalent relational database systems
Scripting ability with PowerShell and Bash
Familiarity with web technologies (PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery) used in LMS or web-based platform customization
Understanding of core network concepts: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Active Directory, firewalls, SSH, and database services
Proven ability to troubleshoot applications, systems, and integration issues
Proven hardware and software troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical issues into clear business terms
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with remote and cross-cultural teams
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The incumbent in this position will work in a professional office environment and will utilize the following equipment when working from the corporate office or remote home office (either on a full time, temporary, or hybrid basis as designated).

Up to 5% business travel may be needed to support the information Technology team.
This position requires a non-standard work schedule aligned with U.S. Eastern Standard Time. Typical hours involve a later start and extended evening availability to meet business needs.
