Job Summary
The LV Panel Technician will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and commissioning low-voltage (LV) control panels according to engineering drawings and specifications. This role ensures that all panels are constructed with high precision, adhering to safety and quality standards, and supports the engineering and operations teams in delivering fully functional LV systems. This position is for a
2 month project.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and wire AC and DC low-voltage control panels following engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform cable terminations, glanding, dressing, ferruling, labeling, and installation on power, control, and instrumentation cables.
- Mount components such as relays, breakers, sensors, and AC/DC distribution boards; bundle and organize wires neatly according to internal and safety standards.
- Execute point-to-point wiring, simulate panel operations, and perform functional testing.
- Collaborate with engineers and the quality control (QC) team during commissioning to ensure compliance with LV standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any deviations or issues promptly.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Diploma in Industrial Electricity or equivalent.
- 0–4 years of experience in LV panel assembly, wiring, and cable management. Experience in AC/DC or MCC distribution is highly advantageous.
- Strong technical understanding of LV control systems and electrical components.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to follow engineering specifications accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in electrical panel assembly.
- Professional attitude, proactive approach, and commitment to quality and precision.
