is recruiting for its office in Amman.
ICT Supervisor (Full-time)
CONTEXT
Médecins Sans Frontières is a private, non-profit international humanitarian organization dedicated to providing medical
assistance to populations in crisis, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. Médecins Sans Frontières is seeking to hire an ICT Supervisor for its office in Amman.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Executing the maintenance, follow-up, and monitoring of all IT and Telecom equipment, tools, and services, as well as ensuring onsite technical support and training of users under his/her responsibility in accordance with MSF standards, policies, protocols, and procedures, in order to guarantee the efficient use of all IT and Telecom services and infrastructure.
Accountabilities:
• Monitoring, maintaining, and following up on all Information Technology (IT) and Telecom equipment, tools, and services in the mission, in accordance with MSF standards, policies, protocols, and procedures;
• Supervising, implementing, and improving data security protocols (data saving, firewall, User Access rights, backup, security for equipment and software, etc.) to ensure data security, availability, and immediate operational recovery and continuity in case of emergency;
• Providing technical support and presenting MSF standards, policies, protocols, and procedures to all users. Providing advanced technical support to logistics experts dealing with IT and Telecom systems. When needed, liaise with the Information Systems (IS) Specialist and/or the HQ Technical Referent for 2nd-line support, as well as with external providers, to ensure that any incidents or problems that cannot be resolved at his/her level are appropriately escalated.
• Providing educational support (briefing, training, and support, etc.) to all users. Providing advanced educational support (briefing, training, and support, etc.) to logistics experts dealing with IT and Telecom systems;
• Providing regular activity reports for the sites under his/her responsibility in accordance with MSF guidelines. Updating and archiving all user and ICT (Information and Communications Technology) related documentation due to changes in the IT and Telecom infrastructures;
• Participating in the establishment of the annual budget of the IT and Telecom families. Providing his/her technical expertise in the local purchase process;
• Planning, preparing and reporting the visits to the site(s) under his/her responsibility to ensure the preceding points;
• Performing any other task, specific to his/her area of specialty, as defined in his/her job description and according to the line manager.
MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities
Intersectional office
OPT intersectional office, conference room setting, and support.
Support the Network infrastructure management for OTP with the OCA IT team.
OCP- MSF France OPT
Provide first-line IT support for OCP-OPT IT-managed profiles and devices, training, guidelines, and instructions to MSF OPT staff.
Software installation and support for Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Office 365, HomeREale, Unifield…
Ø Inventory and stock management
Ø Providing technical guidance for purchasing IT equipment upon need.
Ø Contact list management using Pronto software.
Ø Installing Access points, printers, and IT accessories.
Ø Deliver Mobiles and Laptops to new Users and maintain close follow-up.
Ø Onboarding/Offboarding process for the MSF staff.
Ø Network infrastructure management for FortiGate routers, AP, Unifield Server, UPS.
Ø Periodic maintenance for IT equipment following the inventory maintenance plan
Ø Support log teams in Nablus/Jerusalem Offices with the above mentionned tasks
Ø Inventory of EQ for MSF OPT in Amman
Ø If possible, routine and/or specific technical visits to Jerusalem / Nablus according to the needs
Ø Do a monthly sitrep on his activities
OCB-MSF Belgium OPT
Ø Provide first-line IT support for OCB-OPT IT-managed profiles and devices
Ø Refer ITC support requests as required to the HQ IT team, provide context, and support technical analysis challenges and solutions.
Ø Provide support, training, guidelines, and instruction to MSF staff.
Ø MDM mobile intune management.
Ø Particiapate Inventory and stock management
Ø Providing technical support for purchasing IT equipment and reception control, ensuring that needs are met.
Ø Configure Mobiles and Laptops for New Users
Ø Onboarding/Offboarding process for the MSF staff.
Ø Periodic maintenance for IT equipment.
Requirements
Education
Ø Essential secondary education and formal technical training. Certifications in the domain would be an asset.
Experience
Ø Preferably 1-2 years of proven experience in IT or technical functions
Languages
Ø Manditory good technical English
Knowledge
Ø Expertise in the latest version of the Microsoft Operating System and business applications (Office 365)
Ø Good knowledge of computer hardware and maintenance processes, network theory and their respective protocols, main email systems, IT security best practices, and IT service management tools (ITSM)
Ø Understanding in Server Management (latest version of Microsoft Operating System, Active Directory) and virtualization (Hyper-V)
Ø Understanding of radio telecommunication concepts (HF, VHF, GSM, Satellite)
