Customer Engineer (Node.js / TypeScript | AI-Powered Platform)
Location: Amman, Jordan
Type: Full-time
About the Role
We’re looking for a Customer Engineer who sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer success.
In this role, you will be the technical bridge between enterprise customers and the platform, ensuring they successfully onboard, integrate, and get maximum value from advanced AI-driven capabilities.
This is not a traditional support role — and not purely internal engineering either. It’s a hands-on, high-impact hybrid role where you’ll debug real-world issues, ship code, work directly with customers, and shape product direction based on what you see in the field.
You’ll work closely with a fast-moving engineering team and become a key expert in how customers use AI agents and automation within the platform.
What You’ll Do
- Act as the primary technical contact for enterprise customers (Slack, video calls, email).
- Lead technical onboarding and implementation, including integrations and configuration.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex customer issues in live production environments.
- Build and ship fixes, enhancements, and small features using Node.js & TypeScript.
- Support integrations with external systems such as CRM and helpdesk platforms.
- Collaborate with Product & Engineering teams to translate customer needs into product improvements.
- Develop deep expertise in AI agents and prompt engineering, helping customers optimize performance and outcomes.
- Document solutions, recurring issues, and best practices to improve internal and customer knowledge bases.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript in production environments.
- Prior experience working in customer-facing technical roles (SaaS onboarding, integrations, or technical support engineering).
- Practical experience with AI tools, agents, or prompt engineering (or strong curiosity and ability to ramp quickly).
- Familiarity with or willingness to quickly learn customer support and CRM platforms (e.g., Zendesk, Intercom, HubSpot APIs).
- Strong communication skills — comfortable speaking with enterprise customers and explaining technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, prioritizing speed, ownership, and customer impact.
- Based in Amman, Jordan, and comfortable collaborating across US, Europe, and KSA time zones.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI-native products or enterprise SaaS platforms.
- Background in integrating messaging, communication, or workflow automation systems.
- Strong debugging skills in distributed or API-heavy environments.
Why This Role is Exciting
You won’t just be fixing issues — you’ll be:
- Shaping how customers adopt AI in real business environments
- Influencing product direction directly from customer insights
- Writing production code that immediately impacts live enterprise systems
- Working at the core of a rapidly evolving AI-first engineering team
