We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor Engineer to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Analyse project specifications and requirements to prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, monitoring expenditures to ensure alignment with financial plans and identifying areas for cost optimization.
- Tendering Process: Participate in the tendering process, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and recommending suitable contractors and suppliers.
- Contract Administration: Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring terms and conditions are favourable to the organization. Monitor contractor performance and address any deviations from agreed-upon terms.
- Quantity Take-off: Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and measurements to determine the required materials and quantities for projects.
- Value Engineering: Collaborate with project teams to identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Cost Control: Implement effective cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle, regularly reviewing and reporting on cost variances.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and uncertainties related to project costs and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized documentation related to costs, contracts, and project progress. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or any related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor Engineer in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in relevant software, such as cost estimating tools and project management software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
