Job Title: Trade Marketing Officer Department: Sales & Marketing Reports To: Brand & Trade Senior Manager Job Purpose The Trade Marketing Officer supports the execution of trade marketing strategies and promotional activities across all sales channels.
The role ensures effective brand visibility, promotion execution, and alignment between marketing and sales to drive product performance and market share.
Key Responsibilities 1.
Trade Marketing Execution - Implement trade marketing and promotional plans across modern and traditional trade channels.
- Support in-store visibility initiatives through POS materials, displays, and activation programs.
- Coordinate with sales teams to ensure timely and effective execution of trade promotions.
2. Channel & Customer Support - Assist in developing and tailoring trade programs for key accounts, wholesalers, and retailers.
- Provide sales teams with necessary promotional materials, planograms, and execution guidelines.
- Monitor and report competitor activities, pricing, and in-store promotions.
3. Merchandising & Visibility - Ensure product visibility and merchandising standards are maintained in line with brand guidelines.
- Conduct regular market visits to assess execution quality and identify improvement opportunities.
- Manage the distribution and utilization of promotional and visibility materials.
4. Data Analysis & Reporting - Track performance of trade marketing activities and prepare post-promotion evaluations.
- Analyze sell-out data, ROI, and promotion effectiveness to provide actionable insights.
- Prepare monthly performance and market trend reports for management review.
5. Coordination & Communication - Collaborate closely with Brand, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment of marketing and sales strategies.
- Support budget management, ensuring trade marketing spending is within approved limits.
- Maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in Trade Marketing, preferably within the FMCG or distribution sector.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, channel dynamics, and promotional execution.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience with market data analysis tools is an advantage.
