Role Overview
As a Junior Life Insurance Underwriter at Delta Insurance, you will assess life insurance applications and support the underwriting and claims processes. This role is ideal for recent graduates in biomedical sciences or pharmaceutical fields who are eager to start their careers in the insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Risk Assessment: Analyze life insurance applications from multiple perspectives, including medical and financial factors.
- Claims Review: Review and evaluate life insurance claims submissions to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Claims Processing: Investigate and process claims, including assessing and calculating claim amounts, and corresponding with beneficiaries.
- Coordination: Communicate and coordinate with medical professionals and other relevant entities to support underwriting and claims decisions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records related to underwriting and claims activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or any related medical/ biomedical field.
Technical Skills
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software applications.
• Ability to quickly understand and apply underwriting principles and risk assessment methods.
• Strong computer literacy and attention to data accuracy.
Soft Skills
Attention to detail, analytical thinking, teamwork, communication, and a positive attitude toward learning and growth.
