Job Description & Summary
As a
Service Engineer, you’ll help keep the workshop running smoothly by managing technical tasks, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring repairs meet high quality and safety standards. You’ll supervise workshop activities, support diagnostics, and contribute to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily schedule of workshop staff.
- Ensure tools and equipment are available and maintained.
- Handle documentation for labor hours and service records.
- Support and supervise staff, including onboarding and evaluations.
- Assign and oversee repair and maintenance tasks.
- Manage diagnostic equipment and troubleshoot issues.
- Enforce safety and cleanliness standards.
- Monitor the preventive maintenance program.
- Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to identify problems.
- Work with service advisors to plan current and future repairs.
- Ensure quality standards and workshop productivity.
- Prepare technical reports for the dealership when needed.
- Assist the team leader with technical tasks.
- Apply new repair technologies and advanced diagnostics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
- 0–2 years of experience in workshop or technical service.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of automotive systems and repair tools.
- Ability to multitask and coordinate teams.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality.
- Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Understanding of the automotive market and customer service.
- Familiarity with vehicle parts, and electrical/mechanical systems.
