About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure to ensure secure, stable, and efficient operations.
You’ll be responsible for managing core systems, including Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, Windows Server, Office 365) and VMware environments, while supporting business continuity and scalability. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, business-critical environment.
You will work closely with IT leadership, security teams, and cross-department stakeholders to deliver robust infrastructure solutions that align with the company’s operational and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage, configure, and maintain Microsoft-based infrastructure, including Active Directory, Windows Server, Office 365, and related services.
· Administer and optimize VMware virtualization environments to ensure high availability and performance.
· Oversee server deployments, upgrades, and patch management across on-premises and cloud platforms.
· Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
· Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively address capacity, security, and stability issues.
· Collaborate with the security team to apply best practices for access control, identity management, and data protection.
· Support network and storage systems, ensuring integration with existing infrastructure.
· Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely manner.
· Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures for internal reference.
· Stay updated on emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to enhance infrastructure efficiency and security.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· 3–5 years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering or systems administration.
· AZ-104, AZ-800 or any other Microsoft windows related certificates
· VCTA VMware certified technical associate, VCP VMware certified Professional, or any other related.
· Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies: Active Directory, Windows Server, Office 365.
· Solid knowledge and administration experience with VMware virtualization platforms.
· Familiarity with networking fundamentals, storage systems, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS preferred).
· Experience with disaster recovery planning, backup solutions (Veeam, Veritas are preferrable), and security hardening.
· Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
· Proactive mindset with attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
· Fluency in both English and Arabic.
